Lahore: Warid telecom (Pvt.) Ltd. the country’s most reliable & fastest growing cellular company has hit 6000 destinations coverage mark in a record four years.
In just four years of commercial operations Warid has rolled out its sites in 450 cities and across the major roads of Pakistan.
As a result Warid has been able to provide GSM services to more than 6000 cities, towns and villages and is covering more than 12000 Km of highways and major roads; across the country. The subscriber base has crossed 17.5 million mark.
Warid’s mission is to maintain and deliver unmatched high quality network experience to every nook and corner of the country. It has pursued an aggressive expansion strategy to spread its network coverage from cosmopolitan cities to smaller towns and villages with the commitment to cover diverse landscape of Pakistan. Warid telecom and USF entered into a contract to provide basic telephony and data services to the masses in the un-served areas of Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding districts on February 7th, 2008.

The USF area assigned to Warid is home to some of the toughest terrain and physical challenges in Pakistan but with its commitment, dedication and constant collaboration with USF, Warid has shown remarkable progress in the arduous task of delivering coverage to these areas.
The network is expanding globally as well, offering roaming facilities in 138 countries through 224 operators including GPRS and prepaid IR facilities.
