What is LBS (Location Based Services)?
It is an informative and entertainment service through which you can find out where your friends are, where the nearest ATM station is or simply find a Place of Interest (POI) near you. It’s as easy as SMS or you may even view the locations in a map with an MMS.
How do I find a place?
To find a Place via SMS, type NEAREST<space><CATEGORY NAME> and send to 141
To find a Place via MMS, type NEAREST<space><CATEGORY NAME><space>MMS and send to 141
What are the categories of places I can find through Location Based Services?
You can find the location of the following categories
- Dining (restaurants)
- Banks (ATM, and branches)
- Religion (mosques, churches, temples)
- Hotels
* To view the category name list at any time, SMS “CAT<space>LIST” and send to 141
What are the additional features I can use for Place Finder Service?
User can also do the following Place Finder activities through SMS to 141

What are the charges?
The following charges apply for finding friends/places:
- Place Finder through SMS
For each request of finding a place, Rs.3 + tax will be charged.
On successfully receiving the requested location of place, Rs.3 + tax will be deducted from your account.
- Place Finder through MMS*
For each request of finding a place, Rs.3 + tax will be charged.
On successful receiving of location of place, MMS retrieval charges, i.e. Rs.3 + tax will be deducted from your account.
Are there any subscription charges for this service?
No, there aren’t any subscription charges for using this service.
Is the distance given in the SMS or MMS exact?
The distance given is accurate within 500m.
Can I use this service on a Warid Postpaid connection?
Yes, this service is available on all Warid numbers.
Can I access Location Based Services through WAP?
Yes, Location Based Services is available on WAP.
